Deep Blue Company (DBC) announced it has successfully completed the acquisition of First Class Legal Pty Ltd (FCL) as part of its vision to become Australia’s largest marketplace of sale-to-settlement services – encompassing all the activities between a buyer and seller agreeing to transact a property through to completion of the sale.
While the DBC group was already made up of one of the largest national conveyancing firms operating across Australia, the combined businesses strongly reinforce the DBC group’s position in the key state of Victoria.
DBC Chief Executive Officer, Christopher Lane commented that he was delighted to welcome the First Class Legal team to DBC. “Our vision to solve the inefficiencies and lack of transparency that exists in the sale-to-settlement journey in Australia is accelerated through the acquisition of FCL. By continuing to increase our footprint nationally and drive scale in an otherwise small-scale, decentralised industry, enables our ability to create greater transparency for consumers in an otherwise opaque part of the property journey”.
First Class Legal CEO, Andrew Jarrett added that the acquisition gave greater opportunity for national coverage for the FCL brand. “We are delighted not only with the ability to serve consumers on a broader scale, but with the significant opportunities that will be available for FCL staff to reach even higher heights professionally.”
DBC Chairman, Adam Lewis welcomed the First Class Legal team to DBC and noted “the combined business now has an accelerated path to becoming a world-leading digitally enabled sale-to-settlement platform that will revolutionise customer experience and the real estate industry.”
Over the coming months DBC and FCL management teams will work towards ensuring a smooth transition and integration, while still continuing to deliver first class experiences for consumers in their sale to settlement journeys.
