Conveyancing.com.au and RACV Privacy Collection Notice

Protecting your privacy is important to RACV. This Notice explains how RACV and Deep Blue Company (who is offering this member benefit) collect, handle and safeguard your personal information when you redeem a member benefit available from Conveyancing.com.au, Rapid Building Inspections or any of their related companies (collectively, ‘Deep Blue Company’). We and Deep Blue Company may be unable to provide this benefit without your personal information. 

A reference to ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’ in this Notice is a reference to Royal Automotive Club of Victoria (RACV) Ltd and any of its related companies.

The RACV Privacy Charter explains how RACV generally collects and handles personal information. You can find it at www.racv.com.au. Information on how Deep Blue Company collects and handles your personal information can be found in its Privacy Policy at: www.conveyancing.com.au.

Purposes for which we collect your personal information: RACV may collect and disclose your personal information to Deep Blue Company to enable you to redeem a member benefit with Deep Blue Company. Deep Blue Company may also share certain information with RACV relating to that benefit. This may include your personal details such as your name, contact details (including email address), member number, and basic information about the service to which the offer relates to, such as the month of your settlement or building inspection. 

We are constantly reviewing RACV member benefits to ensure we’re offering benefits that our members value. We collect information to understand how our members use their membership benefits so we can continually improve our products and services, and the benefits and discounts we arrange on products and services available from third parties, such as Deep Blue Company, that we partner with from time to time. This helps ensure we deliver benefits that are of value to our members. We will also use your information to communicate with you about RACV products and services which we believe you may be relevant to you based on the interest you’ve shown in services available from Deep Blue Company.

If you don’t provide Deep Blue Company with the information necessary to redeem the offer, or if you provide incomplete information, then you may not be able to take advantage of the member benefit.

Disclosure of your personal information: Your information may be disclosed to Deep Blue Company and other services providers (some of whom may be located overseas) we use to assist us with the activities described in this Notice. How they collect and handle information is described in their privacy policies. We have taken steps to ensure acceptable security arrangements are in place to protect your information.

Direct marketing: We will use your personal information to tell you about other products and services, discounts, special offers, competitions and invitations to special events. This includes products or services relevant to your transaction with Deep Blue Company, such as the purchase of a new home. If you do not wish to receive any marketing material from RACV, you can withdraw your consent by contacting us on 13 15 60 or by using the unsubscribe function if you have received marketing material electronically.
