Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What happens when I ask for a quote?
One of our friendly concierges will call to welcome you. They’ll also ask a few questions so help them understand your unique situation. For example: “Do you have any critical dates in mind? Are you happy with your contract? Have you done conveyancing in Victoria before?”, and so on. They’ll then use the information will to prepare the best quote possible.
Q: Who will take care of me?
You’ll have a team working for you that includes a Lawyer, a Customer Concierge, and an experienced File Owner who’ll be your main point of contract. And if you have any problems (not that we expect you to), you’ll have access to our Victoria Head Lawyer and Practice Manager to help get it sorted. You can even send a message directly to our Founder and General Manager. We take customer service seriously, so you can rest assured you’re being taken care of.
Q: What makes you the first choice?
With more than 5000 settled conveyances and zero claims, we have a perfect record. We’ve won the Investors Choice award (among others), and have invested heavily in our conveyancing process to make it as easy as possible for you. We’re proud to service the Mornington area.
Q: What are searches?
Searches are certificates that disclose rates, amounts owed, and the history of your property. It helps your File Owner do their detective work to manage your risks. Limiting the number of searches limits the ability of the File Owner to do their job. That’s why your File Owner may recommend optional searches if they think it’s necessary. For example, they may suggest a Building Approval Search to make sure the property’s deck, pergola or carport is built in accordance with Council regulations. After all, the last thing you want is a letter from the Council ordering you to tear it down. Because they cost extra, these searches are optional. But we buy them at cost, and the information they provide can be invaluable.
More About Mornington
A welcome escape from the woes of the city, Mornington is a suburb in the serene and quiet seaside town of Mornington Peninsula. It is a one-hour drive away from the popular city of Melbourne. One of the hotspots for property investment in Victoria, it is also a holiday destination. It is a blend of commercial retail stores, breezy seaside apartments and a variety of gourmet cuisines. The rising interest in the suburb is a result of increasing opportunities, work flexibility and most importantly the urge to leave behind traffic congestion and anxieties of the city life.
Mornington is the most popular suburb of the Mornington Peninsula. It attracts families and couples that are looking for a relaxed lifestyle. It is most popular with retired individuals who need a laidback town with sufficient amenities and entertainment. With the quick occupation of traditional quaint cottages, new constructions of sleek and modern apartments are cropping up to meet the demand of crowds of families flocking to the suburb. With the right combination of schools, a solid transport network and seaside apartments and mansions, this suburb has immense potential to grow further in the next few years.
Despite its immense popularity and demand, the suburb offers several affordable properties. There is a particular preference for blocks of land that have existing homes that can be demolished to build new homes. Over the last 3 years, the house prices have grown by 32.94%. Instead of investing in expensive properties in Melbourne, people are gradually moving towards the outskirts. This trend ensures that Mornington will only grow in its potential as a prime location for property investment.
